Pre-Kindergarten
St. Joseph Catholic School is a preferred partner with Des Moines Public Schools, providing free tuition to 4-year-old preschool students through the Universal Preschool Funding program.
4-Year Old Pre-Kindergarten
Eligibility and Class Size
Students must be 4 years old on or before September 15 or their enrollment year. A student who turns 5 before September 15, but is not quite ready for Kindergarten, can enroll in our Transitional Kindergarten program.
A Des Moines Public Schools Universal Preschool Application must be completed. They are typically available each March and emailed to registered parents. Class size is limited to 20 students.

Morning Pre-K Program
Monday - Friday, 8:10 - 11:10 a.m.
Morning Pre-K Program & Optional Enrichment Afternoon Program
Monday - Friday, 8:10 a.m. - 3:20 p.m.
- Tuition payments are made via Blackbaud.
